THE PATRIOTIC DEGREE

The Fourth Degree was established on February 22, 1900, on the principle of patriotism—love for and devotion to one’s country. Fourth Degree Knights focus the majority of their activities on this principle. It is the highest and most prestigious degree within the Knights of Columbus. It is a group of outstanding Knights who are dedicated to the service of the Church, their country and our Order. These men are unified in the Fourth Degree to support religious, civic and charitable causes.

FOURTH DEGREE MISSION

The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups called "assemblies". Interested members of the Fourth Degree may serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.

MEMBERSHIP IN SAINT MARTIN ASSEMBLY

Any Third Degree member in good standing of a Knights of Columbus Council, one year after receiving his First Degree, is eligible to apply for membership in the Fourth Degree. This can be done by completing an application Form Four and being proposed for membership by an assembly member. The Form Four can be obtained from any fourth degree knight or by contacting an officer of the Saint Martin Assembly. The Form Four is then submitted to the assembly and the candidate is considered for membership.

At this time, Saint Martin Assembly membership consists of brother knights from seven different local Councils. These local Councils vary in geographic location from Shippensburg to Lewistown.

SAINT MARTIN ASSEMBLY MEETINGS

Saint Martin Assembly meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The meetings are held rotate around to the different Councils that make up our membership. Check our events calendar for the location each month.
